My first time creating a blog and I do not know what to say...
Impossible - I can talk crap for hours and hours, good for you that there is a limited text space.
I have been at home for two weeks.
As most of you already know, I took the whole month of July off and in August my one-year career break begins.
What have I been doing during the last weeks?
Well besides sleeping late, running to the bank, the city hall,... to get the paperwork in order.
I have also cleaned the apartment, since my flatmate and I terminated the contract as of 1 September 2006 and possible new renters have been coming.
What is my planning for the coming weeks?
Next week Thursday, I am going to Rome. I have never been there and it has always been on my "to see" list.
After this 4-day trip, I am flying to Valencia -Spain to visit my relatives. I will be back on 3 August and will start moving my stuff to my parents' place. Because on the 24 August a plane will take off with me on it to Hong Kong, where I will stay a week.
On September 3 I am expected in Auckland - New Zealand. During my career break organized via the World Exchange Program, I will follow English courses in an international School (this is obligatory) for 4 weeks. Meanwhile I am staying with a family in the city. The ideal way to get to know the culture.
As of October, I will start working in the farming industry. More details to follow.

Voor de Nederlandstaligen onder jullie - wees gegroet.
Ik ben nu twee weken thuis. Zoals de meesten onder jullie al weten, heb ik een loopbaanonderbreking aangevraagd vanaf 1 augustus voor een jaar. Ik heb al mijn vakantiedagen opgenomen in juli. Dus heb ik de laatste weken vooral uitgeslapen, maar ook de voorbereidingen getroffen voor mijn 1-jaar durende sabbat.
Ik vertrek op 24 augustus voor een jaar naar Nieuw-Zeeland via de World Exchange Program.
Ik zal in september les volgen (verplicht) op een international school in Auckland. De maanden daarna zal ik seizoenarbeid verrichten op boerderijen over het hele land. Ondertussen zal ik uiteraard van de gelegenheid gebruik maken om het land te verkennen. Wordt vervolgd...
Dit wil niet zeggen dat ik voor mijn vertrek naar de andere kant van de wereld thuis zal blijven.
Ik maak eerst nog een city trip naar Rome om daarna door te reizen op een familiale expeditie te Valencia.
Dat is alles voor het moment. Ik hou jullie op de hoogte van mijn doen en laten gedurende de komende weken.
